Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Experience in dermatology, emergency medicine, or working in a hospital or outpatient clinic is highly desirable.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow within the clinic.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Provide support in emergency situations as needed, particularly in urgent care or PICU settings.
Requirements
- Proficiency in medical terminology is essential.
- Previous experience in patient care within a clinic or hospital setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with dermatology practices is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
- Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols is beneficial.
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred but not required.
