Our client, an established custom manufacturing firm, is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead their accounting team in Morgantown, PA! This role has opened up due to the current Controller's promotion to CFO, offering opportunity for growth.
This on-site role provides a unique chance to oversee and mentor a small accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) team. The Controller will be a vital part of ensuring financial accuracy, fostering a collaborative team environment, and supporting the company's growth objectives.
In this role, you will take charge of monthly and annual financial closings, prepare financial reports, oversee budget forecasts, and ensure compliance with banking and tax requirements. You'll also play a pivotal role in onboarding, cross-training within accounting functions, and implementing effective internal controls.

Key Responsibilities :
- Manage month-end and year-end closings, generating accurate financial records and statements.
- Prepare and submit essential reports, including borrowing base certificates, to external stakeholders such as banks.
- Mentor and guide the AP / AR team, fostering skill development and ensuring smooth operations.
- Oversee the budget and forecasting processes, as well as capital expenditure analysis, aligning with business goals.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to support compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Support inventory and cost accounting functions, administering job cost data to ensure accurate pricing and cost reporting.
- Participate in cross-training and onboarding processes with other departments, promoting a comprehensive understanding of the company's operations.
Requirements :
Hours : Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Location : Morgantown, PA (On-site)
