Our client, a leading manufacturer of custom automated baking equipment, is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their engineering team in a hybrid role based in either Philadelphia, PA or Bangor, PA.
In this role, you'll be instrumental in designing and programming sophisticated control systems for custom machinery used by major clients such as Jimmy John's, Wawa, and Chick-fil-A. You'll develop electrical schematics in AutoCAD Electrical and program Allen Bradley PLCs, bringing automation to life for high-performance equipment tailored to the unique needs of each customer.

Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement control solutions using RS Logix 5000, Studio 5000, Studio 5000 View, and FactoryTalk ME software, tailored to meet client specifications for custom automated baking equipment.
- Lead and manage PLC / controls projects from concept to completion, typically overseeing 3-7 projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
- Edit and modify detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts in AutoCAD Electrical to support efficient and accurate machine function.
- Ensure equipment meets safety, accuracy, and quality standards in compliance with NEC, UL 508A, and related codes.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, software management plans, test plans, operating manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
- Contribute to the company's quality improvement processes, implementing best practices to enhance system performance and reduce downtime.
Requirements :
Salary : $95,000 - $125,000
Hours : Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Location : Philadelphia or Bangor, PA
Travel : Occasional travel to client sites (less than 30%).
