Our client, a North American leader in custom plastic extrusion and a processor of high-performance polymers, is seeking a Process Engineer - Plastics Extrusion to join their growing team in Morrisville, PA!
As the sole engineer at this location, you'll collaborate with engineers across 14 other facilities while working closely with the on-site Morrisville team in Manufacturing, QC, Materials, and Sales to drive process improvements, implement lean manufacturing practices, reduce plastic waste, and develop new extrusion tooling to enhance efficiency and quality.
This hands-on role is ideal for someone with plastics experience (through work or education), CAD skills, and a problem-solving mindset. You'll lead tooling design and development, oversee first-article production, and refine manufacturing processes while applying lean principles to optimize workflows, improve efficiency, and reduce waste.

Key Responsibilities :
- Implement lean manufacturing practices to optimize workflows, improve efficiency, and minimize plastic waste.
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes, applying problem-solving strategies to enhance productivity and quality.
- Lead tooling design and development for extrusion plastic profiles, tubes, and post-extrusion processing.
- Plan, develop and coordinate tool development trials.
- Oversee prototype production, working with cross-functional teams to refine processes and ensure product quality.
- Supervise tooling fabrication, ensuring designs meet company standards for performance and reliability.
- Work with in-house die development, technicians, and production teams to ensure successful tooling development and prototype production.
- Collaborate with on-site Manufacturing, QC, Materials, and Sales teams, as well as remote engineers across other facilities.
- Support other company sites with tooling solutions and process optimization initiatives.
Requirements :
Hours : Monday - Friday, 8a-4 : 30pm
