Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop fundamental understanding of fabrication processes and product development methodologies
- Take ownership for an assigned toolset and lead the client’s technical team to maintain and improve process quality and cost
- Work with a team of engineers and technicians to develop reliable, cost-effective and high-quality solutions for complex products in a fast-paced New Product Introduction (NPI) environment
- Develop new methods and capabilities in the work center in support of product development needs, quality improvements and cost optimizations
- Collaborate and communicate with global management, operations and development teams including outsourced development partners regarding project progress and issue resolution
- Document and present project methods and results
- Perform other duties as needed
Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in a silicon or MEMS processing R&D role; experience to include
- Working within a silicon or MEMS process including design and/or manufacturing/tooling process development
- Collaborating with global internal and external stakeholders
- Experience working with/managing the physical and chemical mechanisms of wafer or MEMS processes
- Experience drafting reports and presentations to upper management
- Familiarity with SQL data structures and information systems architecture
- Self-starter with desire to work across a variety of requirements
- Ability to execute the plan in timely manner without sacrificing quality
- Ability to generate design ideas and present and sell designs and proof of concept to broader product group and management
- Ability to frame and align to clear problems, vision, and goals
- Strong collaboration skills across disciplines and organizations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent email, telephone and virtual meeting etiquette
- Customer service orientated, ensuring needs are met in a timely fashion
