Position Summary
This position is responsible for supporting the client’s business unit(s) with the management and coordination of various software developer activities including meeting business requirements/deliverables against scope, schedule and budget.
Responsibilities
- Manage client team of developers to implement technical solutions meeting business needs
- Work as Scrum Master
- Work in an Agile environment and align resources (internal and/or external) to strategy and priorities
- Define the needed infrastructure to meet business needs
- Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards
- Manage team rhythm of business (RoB) and review, organize, and track stakeholder deliverables
- Understand, communicate, and provide project information to key stakeholders
- Develop reports and presentations/dashboards to enable the team to capture, track and communicate project status issues to inform business decisions
- Coordinate cross-team activities and ensure documentation is current
- Drive team to successfully respond to fast paced projects with changing priorities
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to manage meetings, communications, and effective program oversight
- Collaborate with other program/project managers to assess team performance and regularly review best practices to find higher efficiencies, and distribute notes/action items as needed
- Help identify and resolve conflicting priorities across stakeholders
- Help facilitate team reviews/audits based on go-to-market strategy execution, product R&D/manufacturing/supply chain efforts, customer feedback, field sales and operations personnel feedback, and budgeting cycles as needed
- Identify, propose, and implement business process/workflow improvements
- Occasionally work 40 hours in a week to meet certain team milestones
- Perform other duties as needed
Education and Credential Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering Management, or related field - Eligible to work in the US without RLA sponsorship for employment visa status
Experience Requirements
- 5 years of experience in an software/technical project/program management role
- Use of Agile/Scrum management methodologies on large scale projects to consistently meet deadlines, successfully triage changing priorities, identify risks, and track issues to resolution
- Worked on cross functional teams across consumer and/or commercial hardware or software products and services
- Use of data analysis tools to create reports/presentations/dashboards
- preferred years of experience in an software developer role
- Develop solutions using Java, PHP and JavaScript
- Develop APIs with specific security requirement
- Use of regression testing
- Experience managing remote team(s)
- Experience managing vendor/supplier relationships
- Experience communicating directly with customers and/or external partners
- Experience with Angular or React preferred
- PMP or PMI certification preferred
Skills Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
- High proficiency using productivity software such as M365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams and SharePoint)
- Ability to use agile/scrum project/program management principles and methodologies to consistently meet task deadlines, triage changing priorities, and track issues to resolution
- Ability to collaborate across diverse teams with a customer service mindset
