RLE International USA has several exciting closures engineering roles located on-site at customer in Southfield, MI.
**Job Summary:**
As a Closures Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing automotive closures systems such as doors, hoods, and trunks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of closure systems into vehicle designs.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive closures design and development
- Proficiency in CATIA software for design and analysis
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
**Responsibilities:**
- Develop and execute closure system design concepts
- Conduct analysis and testing to validate design performance
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure project milestones are met
- Support vehicle launches and provide technical expertise
- Identify areas for design improvement and implement solutions to enhance closure system performance
