RLE International USA has several exciting interior engineer roles located at our customer in Southfield, MI.
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an Interior Engineer to join our team. As an Interior Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing the interior components of automotive vehicles. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the interior design meets quality standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in interior design in the automotive industry
- Proficiency in CATIA software and other design tools
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials used in interior components
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
**Responsibilities:**
- Develop interior design concepts for automotive vehicles
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and suppliers to ensure design feasibility
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for interior components
- Create and revise design drawings using CAD software
- Ensure that interior components meet safety and quality standards
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in interior design
- Support the prototype and testing processes for interior components
- Communicate with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback
