RLE International USA has an exciting machinist role located on-site at customer in Dearborn, MI.
As a Machinist, you will be responsible for operating machinery to produce or repair precision automotive parts, interpreting blueprints, setting up equipment, and ensuring parts meet specifications, while also maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating Machinery: Set up and operate various machining equipment like lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machines to produce automotive parts.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate production.
- Quality Control: Measure and inspect completed components to ensure they meet required specifications and tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
- Problem Solving: Diagnose and repair issues with automotive components and potentially collaborate with engineers to develop custom parts.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Record Keeping: Keep detailed records of work performed and parts used.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date on new machining techniques and automotive technologies.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of operating machinery experience required
- Experience with 3, 4 &5 axis machining centers; Fadal, HAAS, Mazak & GROBB preferably.
- Experience with AUTOCAD, MASTERCAM, ability to edit CNC programs and competence/experience reading blueprints, and other component files required.
