Responsibilities
- Implement acute care interventions under the direction of psychiatric staff
- Utilize crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate challenging situations
- Provide direct psychiatric care to patients under supervision
- Assist in behavior management and intervention strategies
- Administer medications as prescribed by medical professionals
- Conduct patient observation and document findings accurately
- Maintain and update medical records in compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with nurses and psychiatrists to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements
- Previous experience in behavioral health or psychiatric settings is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to psychiatry
- Ability to perform patient observations effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Certification or training as a Psychiatric Technician or similar field is a plus
