Human Resources Director

Position Overview:

Maletis Beverage is seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Director to join our team. This is an in-office position located in Portland, Oregon, with some flexibility in your start time. The HR Director will play a crucial role in delivering strategic people solutions, providing thought leadership, and offering HR services that help build the organizational capabilities needed to achieve our business goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of the HR Department.
• Maintain and manage HRIS systems (Paycom).
• Work closely with and support locations in Vancouver, WA, and Portland, OR, serving over 420 employees.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and organizational policies.
• Manage and support a dedicated HR team of four: HRIS/Payroll Manager, Payroll Administrator, Benefits & Leave Specialist, and HR Generalist.
• Oversee the administration of HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
• Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
• Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations HR compliance and strategic needs.
• Work closely with senior leadership and department managers to foster a positive, inclusive, and diverse organizational culture.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or Business Management
• PHR/SHRM certifications
• 5 years of proven leadership experience
• 5 years of experience in human relations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization, including influencing decision-makers and setting manager expectations
• Proven experience in developing and evolving an organization that interfaces with employees, vendors, department hiring managers, unions, and technology
• Proficiency with modern HRIS and Talent Management systems
• Experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment
