SNOWMAKING SUPERVISOR
BASIC FUNCTION
Snowmaking Supervisor is responsible for duties related to snowmaking, including but not limited to: scheduling, maintenance, and repair of equipment. Daily communication and coordination with Day/night snowmaking supervisor and Snowmaking Manager.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnosis and repair of snowmaking equipment
- Move/set up Snowmaking equipment
- Communicate with Snowmaking Manager/Supervisor, to ensure best snow quality production
- Manage water supply, and snowmaking plans
- Pump house operation
- Inventory of all snowmaking equipment
- Communication with respective department heads.
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment
- Use PPE and follow all safety rules and procedures
- Operate shop equipment
- Assist with other projects or duties as assigned
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Direction is received from Snowmaking Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- Follow all RMR rules, procedures and policies
- Able to drive and operate equipment for long periods
- 5 years of experience in a related field
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Follow instructions from the Snowmaking Manager and Mountain Operations Manager
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to work in various positions i.e. sitting, crouched, standing or laying down
- Must be able to work in adverse outdoor environments
- Must be able to work without supervision
- Snow cat experience is a plus
