The Line Lead is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring staffing, training, policy adherence, safety, and quality standards are met.

R.M. Palmer Company, LLC designs, produces, packages, and ships seasonal chocolate novelties. Its products include filled chocolates, solid chocolates, chocolate bars and balls, chocolate cups and coins, chocolate patties, and seasonal products. In addition to their own branded products, the Company co-manufactures both seasonal and everyday products for other large branded companies. Today, the Company operates out of two manufacturing facilities and one distribution facility with ~600 full-time employees. R.M. Palmer Company, LLC has some of the most differentiated manufacturing capabilities in the industry as one of the only companies in the U.S. able to make hollow molded chocolate candy products and multicolor chocolate candy novelties.

Line Lead Responsibilities:

• Direct and coordinate activities of production and packaging team members.
• Collaborate with the shift supervisor to maintain operations between departments.
• Plan and assign tasks, organize schedules, and ensure production targets are met.
• Address employee concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Oversee line workers to ensure proper product handling and compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
• Monitor production schedules and evaluate output to meet production goals.
• Inspect materials, products, and equipment for defects or malfunctions, ensuring quality standards.
• Communicate job specifications, policies, and procedures to team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to proper waste disposal methods.
• Report food safety or quality concerns to management promptly.
• Provide hands-on training to team members to enhance performance and maintain standards.

• Previous manufacturing and production experience.
• Basic computer and mechanical skills.
• Understanding of good manufacturing and sanitation practices.
• Proven leadership experience within manufacturing and production.
