POSITION OVERVIEW :
RMA is seeking a full-time Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Lenexa, KS team. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at RMA, you will be responsible for managing small projects as well as managing discrete tasks within larger projects. In this role, you will be expected to :
- Scoping geotechnical investigations and preparing draft proposals and cost estimates;
- Managing and conducting field investigations; reviewing samples / core; ordering laboratory tests and preparing / reviewing / editing boring logs for investigations of any scale;
- Working directly with and managing sub-consultants;
- Performing and / or supervising engineering analyses;
- Preparing geotechnical investigation and geologic hazard reports;
- Reviewing plans and specifications for conformance with the intent of RMA’s geotechnical recommendations;
- Assisting in the managing, training, mentoring and supervision of staff-level engineers;
- Managing construction-phase services for projects; and conducting onsite construction observation for engineering-related activities, if needed.
