Bridge Construction Foreman
Job Overview
Supervises and coordinates construction workers on a job site, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget, while also managing resources and maintaining quality standards. Work Monday to Friday and occasional weekends, usually 40 - 50 hours per week.
Essential Functions, Duties and Requirements
- Oversee the work of construction workers, ensuring they follow plans, specifications, and safety procedures.
- Enforce safety protocols, conduct safety briefings, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop work schedules, allocate resources, and track project progress to meet deadlines.
- Monitor the quality of work, identify and address issues, and ensure adherence to project standards.
- Communicate effectively with workers, subcontractors, and project managers, relaying instructions, and updates.
- Address issues and challenges that arise on the job site, finding solutions to keep the project on track.
- Manage materials, equipment, and manpower effectively, ensuring they are available when and where needed.
- Train and mentor construction workers, helping them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Monitor project expenses and ensure they stay within budget.
- Ensure that equipment is properly maintained and used safely.
- Ability to motivate and direct a team of workers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Ability to plan, schedule, and manage resources effectively.
- Understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other construction documents.

Salary: $72,800 - $93,600; Dependent Upon Experience
