RMA is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Center City, PA location. The Medical Assistant's duties include, but are not limited to accurately recording medical history, phlebotomy, activating patient files, and for providing support to patients and medical staff.
This position is full time, Monday through Friday, 6 : 45 AM to 3 : 30 PM with weekend rotation.
Responsibilities :
- Assist Providers : Assist during ultrasounds and office procedures
- Phlebotomy : Specimen collection and processing, record keeping of all labs sent to outside laboratories, contact laboratories regarding specimens as necessary, post lab results to EMR as needed
- Supply Ordering and stocking of Clinical Supplies : order clinical supplies as needed
- Gather Health History : Confirm cycle specific information, confirm current medications and allergies, record in EMR
- Sterilization : Sanitize ultrasound probes, disinfect exam rooms and phlebotomy lab, sterilize all instruments in autoclave
- Assure quality care by adhering to therapeutic standards
- Comfort patients by anticipating patient’s anxieties; answering patient’s questions
- Maintain an excellent rapport and working relationship with multidisciplinary teams within the Practice
- Adheres to Patient Confidentiality Policies and HIPAA regulations.
