What are the responsibilities and job description for the NURSE TRAINER MANAGER position at RMA Network?
Job Purpose:
To be responsible for managing the Department of Nursing Education and supervising the orientation, onboarding, and continuing education programs for the professional development of IVI RMA nursing staff. The Nurse Trainer Manager designs appropriate processes and educational programs to minimize and eliminate identified knowledge gaps and provide a mechanism of continuous communication regarding return on investment in educational services. The Nurse Trainer Supervisor provides leadership and ensures that practice standards and guidelines are consistent with evidence-based practice, are uniform throughout the IVI RMA organization, and are in keeping with professional and national standards. The Nurse Trainer Manager maintains excellent relationships with practice affiliates and schools and represents IVI RMA on various state and national organizations.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:
- Manages and supervises nursing orientation and continuing education endeavors, including nursing continuing professional development (NCPD).
- Oversees nursing “bootcamp” and onboarding across the IVI RMA network. This includes, but is not limited to, assessing the need for new and/or updated educational content and delegating its creation; overseeing the teaching models, communication with preceptors, reviews and performance improvement plans, and participating in termination of employment, when indicated. Stand in for the Nurse Educator (Trainer) as needed.

Supports IVI RMA startup clinics and/or new clinic acquisitions including, but not limited to: establishing nursing policies, protocols, and/or consents, providing EMR training & support, setting up lab order templates, cycle checklists, medication order templates, progress note templates; participating in the patient education hub (PEH) content; patient portal training; provide ongoing educational/technical support as instructed by the Director of Clinical Education and Quality Assurance.
- Oversees, as required, the recruitment, selection, retention, training and supervision of Department of Nursing Education personnel to ensure the delivery of the highest quality orientation and continuing education programs; to maximize profits, and to minimize turnover.
- Performs annual review of existing nursing standardized operating procedures, standing orders, reference documents, workflows, and/or clinical practice guidelines, and collaborates with nurse leaders and providers to develop or edit new documents as needed.
- Assists, supports, and manages, as required, all efforts to ensure that IVI RMA operates in full and complete compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Ensure that team members have the necessary training for proper performance and development.
- Maintain organization of team members’ timesheets, PTO, etc. to ensure that tasks are properly carried out.
- Transmit the Company’s policies (health and safety, labor legislation, training, etc.) to ensure compliance.
Academic Training:

Current unencumbered New Jersey RN license – required
- Studies level: State Registered Nurse license without limitations

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN) – required
- Studies level: University Education (Bachelor's Degree)
- Studies area: Nursing

Certificate in Nursing Education - a plus

Position Requirements/Experience:
- Education or experience planning, implementing, and evaluating continuing education activities appropriate for adult learners and continuing education.
- Knowledge and experience with strategies of nursing management and human resources management.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and OneNote – required
