What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Full-Time Ultrasound Tech position at RMA Network?
We are looking for an experienced Ultrasound Technician for our Basking Ridge location to assist for a leave of absence starting immediately and going at least through 11/30/2024. This would be full-time, 5 days a week and 2 weekend days a month.
Job Purpose: The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for performing sonography appropriately and accurately to assist physician visualization and interpretation during gynecological procedures.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:
- Collaborates with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments.
- Establishes personal rapport with patients.
- Provides explanations of procedures.
- Performs detailed examinations of anatomy.
- Performs bladder and uterus scans during embryo transfers and other medical procedures.
- Assists with procedure set-up, following all sterile precautions.
Academic Training:
- Completion of formal Ultrasound training and certification
- Studies level: Certification
- Studies area: Ultrasound
- Current BLS Certification - required
- Studies level: Certification
- Studies area: BLS
Languages: N/A
Position Requirements/Experience:
- Previous experience in women's health or reproductive endocrinology and infertility – preferred
- 2 years of experience as an ultrasound technologist – required
Technical Skills:
- Ability to effectively operate all pieces of equipment utilized within the scope of this job.
- Proficient in computer programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
