Glazier/Installer/Apprentice or Entry Level Glazier

Glazier Apprentice/Glazier:

We are looking for a talented and career minded individual who is interested in learning the trade of glazing or a glazier who is already competent in the field. Job responsibilities include measuring, cutting and installing glass fittings into homes and businesses. This includes cutting glass to specifications, assembling and fitting glass into storefronts, installing windows, doors, sliding doors, shower enclosures/bathroom units, display cases and other home and commercial structures. Other responsibilities to include the repair of glass and window/door products and the fabrication of various products as related to glass and aluminum.

Responsibilities:

· Interpreting blueprints or specifications as related to glass shape, size, color, and thickness for installation purposes

· Measuring and marking glass for cutting

· Cut glass to size and specs in shop and/or job site

· Safe handling and loading of glass/glass products/mirrors for transport

· Safe operation of trucks to job sites and unloading glass and materials

· Fabricating and installing moldings for installation of products

· Safe cutting and removal of broken glass prior to new install

· Maintain clean and tidy job area

· In some cases operate hoists/lifts, use suction cups to lift heavy glass

· Install or repair windows, doors, bathroom units, and other glass work applications

· Show up to work on time and as scheduled
