Independent Contractor/Driver

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver (Independent Contractor) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely while providing excellent customer service. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while ensuring timely deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Operate a van or box truck to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks and forklifts as necessary.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
• Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any necessary documentation.
• Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse staff regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a driver, preferably in commercial driving or route driving.
• Familiarity with operating vans, box trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
• Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS systems or maps.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• Must be able to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
• Previous experience in courier services or warehouse operations is advantageous.
