Job Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and safe medication dispensing
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions
- Provide counseling to patients on medication usage, side effects, and precautions
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and medication therapy
- Maintain accurate records of medication inventory, purchases, and dispensing
- Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and pharmacy trends
Qualifications:
- Valid Pharmacist license in the state of California
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills for managing electronic health records and pharmacy software systems
- Ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions under pressure
