Rocky Mountain Electric is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our dynamic team. The Junior Estimator will assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for various electrical projects, ensuring that all financial and technical aspects are considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for residential and commercial electrical projects.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand the scope of work.
- Collaborate with senior estimators and project managers to gather necessary information.
- Conduct site visits to gather data and assess project requirements.
- Perform quantity take-offs and prepare detailed cost breakdowns.
- Help in identifying potential cost-saving measures and project risks.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of estimates and related documents.
- Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing information.
- Support in preparing bid proposals and presenting them to clients.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
- Preferred experience in electrical/ construction field
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- Previous experience in estimating, electrical or related field is preferred
- Knowledge of electrical systems and components is beneficial.
