We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that all safety protocols and procedures are followed at various job sites, protecting our contract electricians and the quality of our work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, safety regulations, and experience in managing safety programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough safety evaluations at job sites to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
- Identify potential safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Work closely with electricians and project managers to implement and enforce safety protocols.
- Provide on-site training and support to electricians regarding safety practices and proper use of equipment.
- Prepare detailed reports of safety evaluations and follow up on corrective actions.
- Send reports to the project leads after each job-site walkthrough.
- Stay updated on the latest safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Foster a culture of safety and awareness among all team members.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical field, with a strong focus on safety.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and relevant safety standards; familiarity with additional OSHA regulations is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction field, with a strong focus on safety.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify potential safety issues.
- Ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
