Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced café environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while handling transactions accurately and efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring a positive dining experience for our customers at our quick service fast food restaurant.
Duties
- Pick Up food items and drive 5 - 10 minutes to site
- Schedule is Monday - Friday 7a-3p
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed to enhance their experience.
- Accurately process customer transactions using the cash register, ensuring all sales are recorded correctly.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the cashier area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist in food handling, including preparing simple menu items as required.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Support the team by restocking supplies and maintaining an organized workspace.
- Adhere to all café policies and procedures regarding food safety and sanitation.
Skills
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to help customers effectively, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Experience in a café or quick service fast food restaurant setting is preferred.
- Basic culinary skills to assist with food preparation when necessary.
- Proficiency in retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with cash register operations and point-of-sale systems.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well under pressure in a team-oriented environment.
