Staff Accountant

As a key member of our Accounting Team, this Staff Accountant position will have opportunities to participate in providing a variety of services to our business, and non-profit clients. The primary day-to-day responsibilities involve providing accounting support to organizations in the greater West Michigan area. This will include a keen ability to meet deadlines, be proactive and provide consistent communication with clients and team members.

·         Perform routine accounting tasks and balance sheet reconciliations

·         Maintain client invoicing and bill payment solutions

·         Process client payroll, tax reporting, and perform routine maintenance

·         File timely sales and use tax reporting

·         Assist with research and filing annual 1099 returns/personal property tax returns

·         Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field

·         Minimum 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience

·         Public accounting experience preferred

·         QuickBooks Online experience preferred

·         Thomson Reuters software experience a plus
