Position: Chief Sales Executive
Reports to: RMS President/CEO
Purpose
We are looking for a Chief Sales Executive who will proactively develop a strong understanding of our industry and customers’ priorities to maximize problem-solving opportunities to drive optimization and solutions based on needs and insights grounded in our company values.
In this role, you will build and nurture relationships with corporate-level contacts at grocery and retailer headquarters, lead national sales initiatives, and identify new business opportunities within the retail and grocery sectors to drive long-term growth.
The ideal candidate will be skilled, adaptable, have strong communication skills, be passionate about client relations, and be focused on enhancing RMS’s service experience. This will entail working at strategic and tactical levels to help develop, implement, and manage programs that maximize short and long-range objectives for the company’s sales growth at RMS, Inc. This individual will work closely with the RMS’s President/CEO and other functional leads (VP of carTrac Operations and VP of RMS Sustainability).

Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive Sales:
- Present and demonstrate the value of services and products to prospective and current customers.
- Conduct sales needs analysis with current and prospective customers, including the development of client-centric service and product solutions.
Build Business Relationships and Communication:
- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance customer experience and design solutions to best support operations.
- Develop, foster, and maintain strong internal, external, and customer relationships while properly communicating vital information.
- Regularly update and communicate progress to management.
- Develop and monitor business developments: define clear account goals and sales; share and highlight opportunities.
- Handle complaints and negotiations.
- Attend all customer meetings and training sessions as required by management.
Data Analytics and Reporting:
- Analyze and report data and insights regarding RMS services/products across all divisions.
- Analyze category trends to identify key focus areas for growth.
- Stay current on RMS’s offerings and industry trends
- Maintain a database of customer’s contact information
- Develop and oversee the execution of accounts to ensure that customer retail needs are met
In This Role, You’ll Bring With You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Stellar planning and organizational skills along with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience or comfort in responding to RFPs is a must.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms.
- Up to 25% travel required.
- Previous exposure to cross-functional work between different departments is preferred.

Physical Demands
- Employees may occasionally experience prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at a time.
- Traditional office environment but may require nonstandard workplaces.
- At times, will work evenings, weekends, and overtime hours to accommodate activities such as Board meetings and representing the organization at public events.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
