Job Description
RMT Global Partners is looking for a talented, energetic, and conscientious Assistant Controller to join our close-knit team. Founded in 2011,we work with manufacturers from around the world to design, source and supply our airline customers with innovative and enriching products like eco-friendly service ware, functionally optimized crew equipment, and luxurious passenger comfort items. As an Assistant Controller at RMT, you will report directly to the Controller and support them in the management of the company’s financial and accounting operations, as well as provide operational support to the team.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Controller and general operational support to the rest of the team as needed (sales reports, sales analysis, logistics cost analysis, inventory reconciliation, etc.)
- Assist with managing daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Help input journal entries, aid in complex commission calculations, and approve invoices, expenses, and landed cost transactions
- Assist with month and year-end closing processes and help monitor all financial records to ensure accurate and current records.
- Support compliance with tax regulations, insurance, and other external reporting requirements
- Help design, implement, and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard company assets
- Create or improve company-wide procedures and tools as necessary
- Support accounts receivable/payable activities to ensure accurate and timely payments
- Provide support and communicate with our customers and vendors
- Prepare periodic reports and brief management as necessary
- Assist with supervising accounting staff, providing guidance as needed
- Provide support with HR functions including benefit management, hiring, onboarding, state management, etc.
- Help with management of new systems and integrations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Understanding and compliance with GAAP Principles and accrual accounting
- Minimum one year of accounting experience, including supervisory roles
- Experience with NetSuite ERP is strongly preferred
- Must have experience with Microsoft Suite, especially an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
- Accurate and proficient data entry skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Technologically proficient with the ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with little-to-no supervision
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Must be dependable, a team player, and have a positive attitude
Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
