We are seeking passionate and dedicated Music Instructors to join our educational team on woodwinds, brass, and percussion. This is a part time on-site role for a Private Music Lesson Instructor at RMT Music and Fine Arts in Burnet, TX. Lesson scheduling is subject to instructor availability, and we do our best to work with instructors to create a schedule that suits the needs of both the student and instructor. Candidates must have reliable transportation and availability during the school day.
This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, providing individualized instruction, and facilitating a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Teach various aspects of music, including theory, performance, and appreciation.
- Provide tutoring and support for students struggling with musical concepts.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain an environment conducive to learning.
- Incorporate elements of childhood development into teaching methods for younger students.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Organize and participate in school music events, performances, and recitals.
- Collaborate with other educators to integrate music education into broader curricula.
- Stay updated on best practices in music education and incorporate innovative teaching strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in lesson planning and delivering engaging music instruction.
- Familiarity with childhood development principles is preferred.
- Skills in behavior management to create a supportive classroom environment.
- Experience in adult education is a plus for teaching community classes or workshops.
- Knowledge of various musical styles and instruments is essential.
- A degree in Music Education or a related field is preferred but not required for exceptional candidates with relevant experience.
