Job Summary

We’re looking for an EHS professional to join the Tank team! The Regional EHS Manager position works with the Director of EHS and other Regional EHS Manager(s) to develop, direct and implement Tank Holding’s EHS programs and protocols to ensure a positive, safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicates closely with and receives direction from the Director of EHS to ensure completion of regulatory EHS requirements and program goals and objectives.
  • Provides leadership and support in the development and effective implementation of Tank Holding EHS Programs and protocols.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the Tank Holding manufacturing processes and the integration of protocols to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Conduct regular facility audits and inspections to assure regulatory compliance and that company programs and protocols are effectively implemented and enforced.
  • Coordinate the development of corrective actions and establish priorities that will provide improved safety without significant impact on the integrity of operations, intended purpose or efficiency of equipment, whenever feasible.
  • Provide advice and practical help to ensure that facility management is well placed to accept and fulfill their EHS management responsibilities.
  • Evaluate unsafe working conditions and practices in conjunction with the Director of EHS, operations team and facility management; develop, implement and enforce controls.
  • Participate in incident investigations and carefully analyze reports to ascertain root causes and corrective actions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related field required; Master’s degree desirable.
  • Applicable work experience may substitute for education requirement.
  • Five or more years of EHS management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined with ability to handle detail work and multiple tasks.
  • Possess good planning and organizational skills.

The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and peripheral vision.

Travel

Required, routine travel of between 30% and 50% throughout the United States and Canada, to support the Tank Holding facility network. Travel will require the use of a personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
