Position: Social Services Practitioner (MSW)
Location: Helena, CA 94574
Contact Duration: 13 weeks with possible extension.
Shift Timing: 8:00 am -4:30 pm (5x8) M-Fri
Hours per week: 40 hours.
Flexibility for weekend coverage nice, doesn't happen often. Only considering LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC. Psych/Behavioral experience preferred. BLS required. CPI training offered onsite. BSW would even be considered.
Job Summary:
Renders clinical psychosocial services to the patients and their families of all ages (neonate to geriatric). Assesses patient?s psychosocial needs and makes referrals to appropriate facilities or community agencies; and provides crisis intervention and bereavement counseling.
Licenses/Certifications:
- AHA-BLS
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW): Preferred
- Department Specific License/Certifications:
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM): Required
- Covid card
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor? Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor?s): Required
- Master? Degree in social work or equivalent combination of education/experience: Required
- Three years' experience in a social agency, hospital, or other organization dealing with health and/or welfare: Preferred
Essential Functions:
- Utilizes effective problem solving strategies to reach decisions, take appropriate action and follow-through within assigned scope of responsibility.
- Provides consultation and counseling with patients, families, staff, and others in the service of patients
- Participates in departmental and interdisciplinary meetings and activities.
- Obtains or coordinates resources from community, social, health and welfare agencies.
- Provides training for nursing staff to intervene during on-call hours and weekends.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $58.32 - $65.70 per hour
