Job Description :

Position : Medical Pediatric Nurse

Reports to : Medical Pediatric Nurse Manager

Summary : Provide specialized nursing care to children and adolescents with a variety of medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities :

Patient Assessment : Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients.

Care Planning : Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and diagnoses.

Medication Management : Administer medications and monitor for side effects.

Vital Signs Monitoring : Monitor vital signs and patient responses to interventions.

Education : Educate patients and families about pediatric conditions and care.

Collaboration : Collaborate with pediatricians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.

Technical Skills :

Monitoring Equipment : Proficiency in using various monitoring equipment, including cardiac monitors, pulse oximeters, and blood pressure machines.

IV Therapy : Skill in administering intravenous fluids, medications, and blood products.

Wound Care : Knowledge and experience in managing various types of wounds, including dressing changes and wound care techniques.

Tracheostomy Care : Ability to care for patients with tracheostomies, including suctioning and tube care.

Blood Transfusions : Proficiency in administering blood transfusions and monitoring for adverse reactions.

Qualifications :

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.

Associate's degree in Nursing or equivalent.

Strong clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric nursing.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
