About the Role
The Form Carpenter performs carpentry tasks required for cast in place concrete structures in accordance with the scope for the assigned project site. This role is specifically working on bridges and concrete structures.
Responsibilities
- Construction of concrete forms, temporary access structures, and other misc. carpentry related items required on the project.
- Experience in placing and finishing concrete a plus.
- Basic understanding of blueprints and sketches to determine dimensions and materials placement.
- Maintain and contribute to safe and clean work sites.
- Adherence to the work site safety program; identify and report any unsafe behavior on the site or hazardous conditions
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D; Carpentry Trade School Certificate
- 5 years of concrete carpentry experience a plus
- Basic math skills related to carpentry
- Measuring and planning
- Ability to follow or establish basic line and grade
- Physical ability to work, access, and maneuver the construction site.
- Ability to lift/carry heavy pieces of materials
- Use of saws and other power tools
- Use of various hand tools
Working Conditions
- The role may require lifting and carrying heavy objects
- This role requires working in various environments and primarily outdoors
