About the Role
The Shop Helper at RNGD Prefab will be an essential part of the operations team, assisting with various tasks across the shop floor. This role requires flexibility, a willingness to assist in different processes, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in various shop operations such as priming/painting steel, grinding, material handling, and equipment maintenance.
- Help with the setup and cleanup of work areas to ensure a tidy and safe environment.
- Support other team members with moving and organizing materials and tools.
- Follow detailed instructions from supervisors to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Engage in preventative maintenance tasks to keep tools and equipment in good working order.
- Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Perform minor adjustments or repairs to equipment as needed under the guidance of more experienced staff.
- Ensure all tasks are completed to the high standards of quality that RNGD Prefab upholds.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in a shop environment is a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of tool maintenance and safety practices.
- Willingness to learn and take on varied tasks within the shop.
