Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Surveyor II located in Jackson, MS. The Surveyor II will be responsible for conducting land surveys, preparing and maintaining sketches, maps, and reports of legal descriptions of surveys. The role involves using specialized equipment to measure and precisely determine property boundaries. The Surveyor II will coordinate survey efforts with project teams, interpret survey data, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in conducting land surveys and using specialized survey equipment
- Ability to prepare and maintain sketches, maps, and reports
- Experience in interpreting survey data and property boundaries
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Physical ability to conduct outdoor fieldwork
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Professional Surveyor (PS) license is preferred
