Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Foot Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, specialized foot care services to patients including assessing their foot health and implementing appropriate care plans.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' foot health, including vascular and diabetic assessments.
2. Perform routine foot care procedures, including: nail trimming, callus removal, skincare, while adhering to infection control protocols.
3. Educate patients on proper foot care techniques and provide recommendations for ongoing self-care.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, document assessments, care plans, and interventions.
6. Stay informed about current trends and developments in foot care nursing through continuous education and training.
7. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care protocols and policies.
Requirements:
1. Valid nursing license in California. (RN)
2. Certification in foot care nursing or related field. (CFCS).
3. Proven experience as a Foot Care Nurse or in a similar role.
4. Strong knowledge of foot anatomy, common foot conditions, and relevant treatments.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
