About the Role:The Account Manager – Supply Chain Sales plays a critical role in supporting our renewable energy clients by providing tailored parts solutions and supply chain strategies. This position focuses on identifying customer needs, driving sales, and managing vendor relationships while ensuring cost-efficient inventory planning and procurement. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong supply chain knowledge, sales acumen, and relationship-building skills to ensure client satisfaction and support organizational growth.
What You’ll Do:- Develop in-depth knowledge of Wind and Solar parts for distribution sales.
- Identify prospective customers, lead generation opportunities, and conversion strategies.
- Engage with new and existing customers to discuss current needs, forecasted requirements, and strategic sales opportunities.
- Emphasize product features to highlight how they solve customer challenges.
- Negotiate pricing and terms; prepare sales agreements.
- Develop Spare Package recommendations for Wind and Solar assets.
- Collaborate across departments to drive results.
- Maintain customer contact lists and follow up to foster long-term relationships.
- Obtain bids and place orders per standard terms and approved purchase requisitions.
- Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with vendors, supporting inventory planning in a cost-effective manner.
- Ensure timely placement of Sales Orders and deliveries to meet production requirements.
- Suggest and develop process improvements as assigned.
- Balance supply chain management and sales responsibilities.
- Assist with developing centralized supply chain functions.
- Maintain effective communication, uphold RNWBL’s internal processes and safety standards.
- Ensure sales metrics are met with minimal guidance.
Education & Experience: Candidates must meet one of the following:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in purchasing, planning/scheduling, or supply chain. Manufacturing environment preferred.
- Associate degree in a related discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline strongly preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheets, and Netsuite or equivalent systems.
- In-depth knowledge of material demand planning systems and demand planning concepts.
- Understanding of supply chain management and supplier management principles.
- Proven ability to manage customer relationships and negotiate cost reductions and terms.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to identify total cost of ownership and overall cost-saving opportunities.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
