Position Overview
Special Education teachers work with students who have a wide range of learning, mental, emotional, and physical disabilities. They adapt general education lessons and teach various subjects, from math to English, in a way that is easier to understand for students with mild and moderate disabilities. They also teach basic skills, such as literacy and communication techniques, to students with severe disabilities.
Start : ASAP
Hours : 745am-3 : 00pm Monday-Friday
- Hours could vary based on location
Compensation : Starting at $25 / hr based on experience and qualifications

Occasional evening work to meet with parents or administrators
Supervision Received
The special education teacher will report to the School Administrator and Superintendent. Supervision is often minimal to general.
Supervision Exercised
The Special Education teacher will often supervise Teaching Assistants in day to day activities along with being the sole supervisor at times for the students.
