What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction laborer position at Road Con Inc?
A laborer in any capacity weather, bridge, pikp or highway, can be expected to bend, climb, kneel, and lift up objects 50 pounds or more. Work is close proximity with heavy equipment and traffic. Laborers are periodically required to drive company vehicles when implementing traffic controls, accessing tools, removing tools and material, and staging work zones. Those who drive or have the potential to drive company vehicles are encouraged to obtain a valid DOT Medical Card t ensure their fitness. Laborers are expected to safetly use power tools. Based on demands and restrictions work shifts can include daylight and nightime hours. Work will be performed at heights, in excavations, on uneven surfaces and possibly hot surfaces when placing asphalt. In some cases laborers could be subjected to work in confined spaces. All job duties performed by laborers of any capacity are classified as safety sensitive due to the nature of the work and industry. They also have the potential to pose safety risks to other employees and the public. All listed job duties are essential. This is a contract position.
