This position is an entry level or early-stage Inside Sales career opportunity that may lead to other positions with the company – such as outside sales, marketing, sourcing, operations, and eventually into management and leadership. This position is a member of our customer service team in Appleton, WI. The primary responsibility of this position is to sell goods and provide in-person customer service while utilizing parts knowledge to assist retail customers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Greet and advise customers in the selection of products and their uses
- Answer customer questions about products, prices, availability, and product features
- Sell goods to retail customers to support the overall goal of sustained growth
- Suggest sale of related parts when identical replacements are not available
- Keep current on new products and product updates
- Conduct inbound and outbound phone calls
- Develop over the phone and computer-based customer service relationships
- Learn all facets of the heavy-duty truck and trailer parts industry
- Pull and prepare orders for customer pick up or delivery when needed
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (GED) – Required
- Bachelor's Degree – Preferred
- 1-3 years of sales and/or customer service experience – Preferred
- Experience with heavy duty truck and trailer parts – Preferred
- Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service
- Basic computer and math skills
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop and lift/move up to 75lbs unassisted and up to 100lbs assisted
- Ability to obtain a Medical DOT Card, if needed (company paid)
