Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the strategic vision for the company’s mining division, driving initiatives that support business growth, market share expansion, and profitability.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue growth by directing the sales team to identify new business opportunities and nurture existing relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, trust, and long-term partnerships.
- Manage vendor relationships for mining products and ensure the product lines align with market demands and customer needs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, setting expectations and managing performance to ensure the team has the right skills, knowledge, and motivation to drive business results.
- Ensure that the division meets its financial goals by managing financial statements, preparing annual budgets, identifying capital expenditure needs, forecasting revenues, and ensuring cost control measures are in place to maximize profitability.
- Monitor industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
- Oversee RMS mining-focused branch operations to ensure efficiency, with strong focus on quality, continuous improvement, and safety.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments and other RMS branch locations to ensure smooth operations and seamless customer experiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and or equivalent experience in a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
- At least 10-15 years of experience in the mining industry, with a proven track record in a leadership or executive role.
- Extensive knowledge of mining and industry dynamics. Knowledge of the construction, aggregate, and forestry industries is a plus.
- Strong sales experience, with demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and market share expansion.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A results-driven approach with a strong understanding of P&L management.
- Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Proven experience in managing budgets, forecasts, and operations.
- Safety-focused and knowledge of regulatory compliance in the mining and construction sectors.
- Occasional travel required
