Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair buildings, grounds, and production equipment.
- Identify electrical and mechanical issues, troubleshoot standard electrical components, and correct problems before they escalate.
- Disassemble and reassemble systems such as gearboxes, cylinders, pumps, and valves; replace or repair worn or defective parts.
- Troubleshoot PLCs and other control systems; install power and control wiring.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair motors, starters, relays, and drives.
- Read technical manuals and blueprints, purchase necessary parts, and handle equipment installation.
- Follow scheduled preventive maintenance procedures, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Determine root causes of equipment malfunctions and coordinate with subcontractors for repairs when necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience working with 110–480 volt systems (higher voltage background is a plus).
- Skilled in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Valid driver’s license and familiarity with facility electrical, HVAC, and communication systems.
- Ability to climb, crawl under equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and similar industrial machinery.
- Must complete required paperwork accurately and legibly.
