Road Ranger, a growing multi-state Travel Center company, is seeking to add a Payroll & Benefits Administrator to its Human Resources Department. The Payroll & Benefits Administrator is responsible for administering all aspects of the Company’s store-level payroll and benefits, and provides outstanding internal service to store-level employees and managers in their payroll and benefit needs. This entry-level position is hybrid, requiring 3-4 days a week in office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Execute the timely and accurate processing of weekly payroll for all store employees, including the data entry of new hires, separations, and payroll changes
- Administer all store benefit programs including yearly open enrollment, distribution of benefit information, and data entry of employee enrollment and terminations to include notification of information to providers
- Generate and distribute internal and external reports for benefits and payroll
- Respond to external requests and demands such as employment verifications, garnishments and other benefit and payroll related items
- Provide outstanding internal service with employee questions and problem resolution
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
- Working knowledge of fundamental applicable employment regulations (i.e., FLSA) required
- Working knowledge of benefit programs required
- Experience with payroll processing software required
- High proficiency in MS Excel required
- Highly professional and ethical with uncompromising morals and integrity
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure prioritize and handle multiple competing tasks and demands simultaneously
- Ability to maintain strict levels of confidentiality
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships
- Must have the ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and laws related to employment activities and to exercise independent discretionary judgment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, electronically or through other means to individuals or groups
