*Job Summary*
The Food Service Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food service operations within the establishment. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong culinary background and extensive experience in the food industry. The assistant GM will manage staff, ensure compliance with food safety regulations, and develop training programs to enhance team performance. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality dining experiences. This position will directly report to the GM.
*Duties*
- Oversee daily food service operations, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Manage the preparation and presentation of food, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff in culinary skills, food safety, and customer service.
- Lead and mentor kitchen and service staff to foster a positive work environment and encourage professional growth.
- Plan and coordinate banquet services, ensuring all events are executed flawlessly.
- Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety standards at all times.
- Collaborate with management to create menus that meet customer preferences while adhering to budgetary constraints.
*Qualifications*
- Proven experience in the culinary field, with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Previous leadership experience in a food service or hospitality environment is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is required.
- Experience in training development for culinary staff is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
