What you will get to do as the Design & Merchandising Manager:
• Contribute to brand storytelling through design narrative and product innovation • Setting the vision, leading the team, and implementing strategies to develop the Korsa product line• Conceptualize and create innovative designs • Design thoughtful and meaningful products that resonate with our target audience• Balance creativity with productivity• Lead the team to develop the product line and range plan to drive Seasonal Seel Through, paired with a bended Product Margin• Drive fabric innovation to keep Korsa at the forefront of performance and comfort • Identify and implement processes and disciplines that allow your team members to thrive in their roles• Collaborate closely with multiple departments including merchandising and inventory planning • Work closely with Product Development for approvals on prototypes, PPS, TOP, lab-dip, quality control, etc. • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with manufacturing partners• Negotiate competitive pricing with manufacturing partners• Present design/merchandising review and be receptive to feedback from key stakeholders throughout the design & development process • Spearhead product training initiatives for internal teams• Act as brand ambassador by embodying and promoting brand values and vision• Ensure fit excellence through the development of detailed fit standards across all product categories and by leading fit sessions with the team to make critical decisions
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field• 7 Years of experience in activewear or sportswear design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role• Display excellent communication skills with partners, peers, customers, and executives• Demonstrate ability to unite and lead a team toward a common goal• Record of successful product launches and line expansions• Understand the building blocks to develop and manage a healthy product line that balances creative product innovation with pragmatic range planning and buying decisions • Strong understanding of fabric technologies and performance materials• Excellent knowledge of garment construction, fit, and manufacturing processes• Proficiency in design software (PLM systems, Adobe Creative Suite, CLO3D would be a plus) • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data to inform design decisions • Ability to present the product line and associated vision in a clear and compelling way• Experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholder relationships• Possess a positive and can-do attitude
