Description

RTR is offering a $2,500 Sign on Bonus to all New Full Time Hires! 

Assists Residential Vice President in providing effective and consistent management as well as maintaining clinical support and development.  Supervise, evaluate, and train staff and Residential Managers.  Provide emergency coverage and crisis intervention.  Oversee clinical and administrative services and related paperwork.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Perform direct care coverage if needed.  Direct care coverage includes: to instruct, supervise and evaluate individuals in all areas of community living as outlined in each support plan.  Record data on all instructional programs.  (See Direct Care job description for more detailed responsibilities.) 
  • Supervise four to five programs and prioritize on an as needed basis.
  • Provide direct supervision to Residential Managers.
  • Provide emergency on call consultation for clinical interventions.  Includes beeper coverage
  • Meets weekly with Vice President of Residential Services as part of a management team.
  • Works closely with Residential Manager and Case Worker/Manager to observe, support, and perform staff training.
  • Provide ongoing input, direction, support, and training in ISP development and follow through.
  • Provide administrative review of Individual Support Plans.
  • Assist AVP’s with crisis intervention.
  • Submit bimonthly program checklist reports to Vice President/AVP. Report on quality of programming, issues to be addressed, ideas on problem resolution, staff compliance with programs, standards of care, and agency policies.
  • Reports overall progress and concerns in assigned programs to Vice President/AVP.
  • Provide effective clinical linkage with service coordination and professional services.
  • Assist in staff recruitment, and the interview process.
  • Attend staff meetings for all assigned programs.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and provide coaching to new co-workers as directed.
  • Assist in medical and/or psychiatric admissions.
  • Participate as a member of Agency Clinical Team.
  • Develop program specific behavior plans, interventions, and procedure manuals.
  • Meets weekly with Residential Manager on individual program issues and concerns.
  • Responsible for monitoring mandated trainings for staff.
  • Monitor Survey & Certification evaluation standards.
  • Responsible for meeting deadlines on all administrative and clinical paperwork as assigned by Vice President/AVP.
  • Monitor bi-weekly payroll.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and provide coaching to new co-workers as directed.
  • Continue professional development by attending at least 6 in-service trainings, workshops, or seminars each year.
  • Assist in additional duties as requested by Vice President/AVP of Residential Services 
  • Attend all required meetings. 
  • Adhere to agency safety standards.
  • Perform additional duties, or substitute for others as required.
  • Adhere to all RTR policies and procedures.
  • Develop and provide all services in accordance with RTR’s philosophies including staff and Board beliefs.

 

Qualifications


  • BA or BS in Human Service discipline preferred or 6 years experience in related field. 
  • At least 3 years of increasingly more responsible positions with a human service agency.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of ISP process and Survey & Certification standards.
  • Thorough knowledge of behavioral analysis, counseling, and crisis intervention.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Successful completion of all state and agency mandated trainings including medication administration.
  • Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to communicate effectively with individuals under supervision, employees of the organization, families, and members of the community.
