ROAD WARRIOR MOBILE FLEET SERVICE, LLC
Indiana, PA Full Time
POSTED ON 12/17/2024 CLOSED ON 2/12/2025

What are the responsibilities and job description for the COO (Interim or Full Time) position at ROAD WARRIOR MOBILE FLEET SERVICE, LLC?

Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Location: Muncie and Indianapolis

Commitment: 12 months contract or full-time employment

Company Overview:

Road Warrior is a dynamic and growing company with a passion to be a leader in the mobile repair industry. Established in 2007, we have been serving central Indiana and surrounding areas for over 17 years with locations in both Muncie and Indianapolis.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Interim or Full Time COO to optimize operations and increase sales while having a positive impact on our company culture. This role is perfect for a results-driven executive with experience in a truck repair shop or similar environment.

Main Objectives and Time Commitment Explanations:

Our main 12-month objective for the COO role is quick yet controlled growth. Minimum growth objectives for 2025 are doubling revenue while maintaining a minimum 10% net profit. During this time, we would also like to create a strategic plan to vastly increase our geographic footprint. In the next 3-5 years we would like a minimum of quadruple growth over our 2025 goals which we expect to achieve through opening additional locations. We are giving the option of a 12-month contract position or a full-time role to attract the right candidate. We recognize that growth and maintenance are sometimes different strengths and do not want to deter growth minded candidates from applying. We are open to offering full-time employment at the end of a contract role if it is beneficial to both parties. (Note: In the event we hire for Interim only, part of the 12-month contract will include helping us find and train a full-time COO to take your place at the end of the contract term.)

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues
  • Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement
  • Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long-term objectives developed in tandem with company owner
  • Oversee operations, sales, HR, and accounting departments
  • Monitor performance with tracking software and take corrective measures when necessary
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, vendors, and employees
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to increase efficiency and scalability
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and establish workflows to meet organizational goals
  • Collaborate with leadership to set performance metrics and drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure company compliance with industry regulations and quality standards
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Other Objectives and Job Details:

  • Collaborate with owner in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy, and hiring levels
  • Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning
  • Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met
  • Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention
  • Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations, and take appropriate action when necessary

Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in operations or a similar executive role
  • Proven success in strategic planning and process optimization
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and provide high-level insights
  • Flexible availability including potential nights and weekends
