Resort Maintenance

Purpose

This position is responsible for the general maintenance, repair, and upkeep of resort buildings, grounds, and equipment across park property. The Resort Maintenance Technician works under the supervision of the General Manager and receives daily task direction from the General Maintenance Task Leader, depending on assigned duties.

General Maintenance Duties

· Operate, inspect, maintain, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and facilities.

· Operate, inspect, maintain, and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation (HVAC) systems as required.

· Perform carpentry, painting, drywall, and general housekeeping repairs in resort buildings and common areas (inside and outside park walls).

· Complete various clean-up, painting, and general maintenance tasks assigned.

· Operate equipment, tools, and materials safely and effectively for maintenance work.

· Attend daily maintenance briefings to receive and coordinate tasks from the team leader.

· Arrive on time, in the designated uniform, well-groomed, and ready to begin the shift.

· Maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment throughout all resort areas including buildings, grounds, and facilities.

· Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards when using tools and equipment or performing assigned duties.

· Foster a positive, cooperative, and respectful working relationship with coworkers, residents, vendors, and contractors.

Skills and Qualifications

· General understanding and hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, drywall, HVAC, and basic facility maintenance tasks.

· Ability to use and maintain work tools, equipment, and materials appropriately and safely.

· Capable of working independently and managing a schedule of assigned duties.

· Ability to recognize common workplace hazards and follow all safety procedures.

· Willingness to follow directions and work cooperatively as part of a team.

· Physically fit and able to perform manual labor outdoors throughout the day.

· Ability to:

• Stand for extended periods
• Climb ladders and access facility rooftops
• Bend, lift, and move heavy materials or equipment (up to 100 lbs.)
• Work in various outdoor weather conditions as needed

· Must be able to operate a golf cart.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
