About the Role
At Roadly Logistics, we are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Business Development Manager to join our team. As a Sr Business Development Manager, you will play a mentorship role in helping to drive the growth of our business, from our newest branch, by using your network and existing relationships with clients, understanding their freight brokerage needs, and delivering customized logistics solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in an environment where your contributions will directly impact the company’s success!
Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition and Retention: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, attending trade shows, lead generation, and cold calling. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
- Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales and new customer activation targets. Present and demonstrate our freight brokerage services to potential clients.
- Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends, marketing conditions, and the competitive landscape. Use this information to adjust sales strategies and provide insights to our team.
- Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate pricing and terms with clients. Close sales deals and ensure all contractual obligations are met.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the COO who is headquartered in Easton branch, along with the operations team to ensure seamless service and client satisfaction.
- Reporting and Analysis: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status. Provide regular updates and forecasts to management.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Excellent written / verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed to trade shows.
- Ability to articulate motivations and drive.
- Ability to commute and work in the office.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a logistics role with a robust network of contacts.
- Knowledge of the logistics and freight brokerage industry is required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex situations.
