Job Title: Yard Hostler- 2nd shift, 2PM-11PM
Some weekends required as needed.
Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Yard Hostler to join our team. The Yard Hostler will be responsible for moving trailers and other equipment around the yard and ensuring they are properly positioned for loading and unloading. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Move trailers and other equipment around the yard using a yard tractor
- Ensure trailers are properly positioned for loading and unloading
- Perform safety checks on equipment before and after use
- Communicate with other yard personnel to coordinate movements
- Maintain a clean and organized yard
- Assist with other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Experience operating a yard tractor or similar equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Working Conditions: The Yard Hostler will primarily work outdoors in all weather conditions. The position may require working weekends and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements: The Yard Hostler must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate equipment for extended periods of time.
Salary: The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience.
