Job Title: Truck Shop Service Writer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Truck Shop Service Writer and Parts Specialist to join our team. The Service Writer will be responsible for communicating with customers, assessing truck and trailer issues, and recommending necessary repairs and maintenance. This role also requires locating and ordering parts and supplies needed to repair trucks and trailers. This job also requires a strong understanding of truck repair and excellent customer service skills. Pay varies depending upon experience.
Duties:
- Interact with customers to determine truck problems and maintenance needs
- Write accurate service orders detailing customer concerns and issues
- Provide estimates for repairs and maintenance work
- Locate and order parts and supplies
- Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure timely completion of work
- Maintain customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or questions promptly
Requirements:
- Proven experience in service writing within a truck repair shop or dealership
- Knowledge of estimating, repair, and maintenance procedures
- Ability to align customer needs with appropriate services
- Familiarity with maintenance, truck and trailer repairs
